Welcome to

Our Pottery Studio!

We are so happy to be able to serve the homeschooling community and offer an enriching environment for young artists. I have created this page to answer many of the frequently asked questions regarding our classes.

  • We are located at 8058 W. Lincoln St. Peoria AZ. Our small, family owned studio is located in a corner lot property surrounded by a desert oasis of trees. Our studio is equipped with pottery wheels, tables, kilns and everything you need to create out of clay.

  • Hand-building classes cost $35 a person. These are classes that use the hands as your primary tools and employ slab, pinch and coil methods to create very specific creations.

Pottery wheel classes cost $50 a person. These are classes that introduce you to the pottery wheel, a tool that requires practice and perseverance to master.

For a 6 week pottery wheel course, you get one class free of charge and your child can also have access to the studio for independent practice throughout the 6 weeks for no additional cost.

  • Clay is for everyone. Anyone ages 5 and up can begin to enjoy the art of clay to some degree. That being said, please keep in mind that younger students might need an extra hand with some of these projects. I will do my best to assist them as well. I will also note in the class description which projects are best for little hands. Typically hand-building is a really great place for anyone to start.

I recommend the pottery wheel class for older students (9+) who have already begun to master their motor skills and ability to follow directions. Please consider the maturity of your child when scheduling a wheelthrowing class. Like playing an instrument, using the pottery wheel is not as easy as it seems. But it is a skill worth investing in. If your child is up for the challenge, I look forward to helping them learn the steps and practice and create some worthy vessels on the pottery wheel along the way.
